Hi,
ReplyDeleteLovely article there. My second daughter slept on my chest the night she was born, stayed there -- even through a painful mastectomy when she was two (we found a way) -- and now, at five, still falls asleep with me by her side every single night. She was saying she would be ready to fall asleep alone when she is six. Now she's adjusted that to 6 or 7!
With my first I co-slept but she also liked the crib. But we struggled mightily when she was 2 and 3 because I felt pressured to make her go it alone. Sigh.
Thanks for getting the message out!
lovely piece at ROTH, really enjoyed reading it, found via there.
ReplyDeleteLove and care to you all xx
I just read your piece at ROTH (first time there via SouleMama) and felt like I could have written your thoughts. As a first time mom at 35, I also went through those early issues of trying to have my son sleep in his crib and finally finding peace in co-sleeping. I sure wish I knew this a year ago so I could tell people that our situation was just fine and to mind their own business!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the article! Wonderful. We co-slept peacefully with our three children and loved it. :)
ReplyDeleteI loved the gentle, accepting tone of your article. I think it's so important not to be divisive with this (and other natural living issues as well) and you did such a nice job. Love the bedtime photo too!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ladies! I am lucky to have a small group of mindful, waldorf inspired mamas in my circle-and we are all so excited to "meet" new ones through these blogs and ROTH. It is so powerful and strengthening to know that we are all out there, like a blanket of bright lights. Its a very healing thought. Blessings to you all.
ReplyDeleteStopping over from Rhythm of the Home. I loved your piece. We say what we're thankful for every night, but it would be so amazing to write it down.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your thoughts!
Very sweet article you wrote! Really caught the coziness of the family bed and the sweet deliema of finding some personal time. They do show gratitude in sweet ways don't they ;)
